2/11/07 Ice Water Rescue Drill

    On Sunday, February 11th, Co's 14 and 28 participated in an ice water rescue drill. Ice rescue techs, fire and EMS personnel practiced pre-arrival planning, scene size up, reaching the patient, extricating the patient and treating the patient.
    The career and volunteer personnel of both stations worked together fostering a spirit of  teamwork while emphasizing the importance of safety. Thanks to the Chief and the officers for putting this drill together.

The safety line is in place as the rescue team prepares to deploy. Getting organized before the rescues begin. The rescue team is making their way across the ice.
The apparatus staged on the hard road. Lt. Hahn is the smart one, staying warm and dry. The team in their cold water rescue suits.
